NailScannailscan.ai
Lead engine

Traffic is not the problem. Names are.

A salon's website is visited by people who are already interested and who leave without identifying themselves. The industry's answer has been a discount pop-up. NailScan replaces it with something a stranger will actually trade their phone number for: a real assessment of their own hands.

01 The exchange

What you are asking for, and what you are giving.

Lead capture fails when the value is lopsided. Nobody hands over a mobile number for ten percent off a service they had not decided to book. They will hand it over for information about their own body.

Conventional capture

“Get 10% off your first visit”

The visitor already suspects this is a mailing list. It costs margin, attracts discount-seekers, and produces a record with a name and nothing else in it.

  • They get a discount they may never use
  • You get a name and an email
  • Follow-up is generic, because you know nothing
  • Attracts price-led clients by construction
Assessment capture

“Scan your nails. Get the report.”

The visitor gets something specific about themselves. The salon gets a record with a documented condition attached — which is what makes the next conversation easy.

  • They get a real reading of their own nails
  • You get contact details plus five structured findings
  • Follow-up is specific, because you know the condition
  • Attracts care-led clients, who spend more and return
The second-order effect: a client who has read a report describing ridging, dryness and prior over-filing arrives already believing they have a problem worth paying to fix. The chair time goes to the work rather than the pitch.
02 Deployment surfaces

One engine, five places to put it.

The scanner is not a page. It is a capture mechanism you drop wherever a prospective client already is, with attribution stamped onto every record so you can see which surface produces business.

Every record knows which surface produced it

UTM, referrer, device and surface are written onto the record itself — not inferred later by an analytics tool that lost the session.

03 The handoff

Your front desk sees the nails before it sees the number.

This is where most integrations quietly fail: the lead arrives as a name and a phone number, the findings sit in a PDF nobody opens, and whoever makes the call has no idea who they are ringing. NailScan maps the findings into named fields on the contact record, so the person picking up the phone opens with her nails are ready for the full set and it is quoted at $95 instead of with a script.

  • Contact upsert matched on E.164 phone, so a returning client does not fork into two records.
  • Findings as fields, individually addressable for filtering and automation triggers.
  • Opportunity created at the correct pipeline stage, attributed to the capture surface.
  • Report link on the record, so staff read exactly what the client read.
  • Retry queue. Leads are not lost to somebody else's outage.

The opening line this makes available: “I've got your scan in front of me — your nails are in great shape for the full set, and I have Thursday at two.” A different call from “I'm calling about your inquiry.”
04 Follow-up architecture

Three workflows, segmented on the findings.

A client quoted for a full set and a client who needs a prep visit first should not get the same email. Because the findings are structured fields, the automation branches on them and sells the right thing to each one.

WF—01

Scan nurture

Fires on completion. Delivers the report, then follows the service it recommended — a full set where the nails are ready, a prep visit first where they need one. Every branch ends on a booking offer.

Booking operations

Confirmations, reminders, reschedules, no-show recovery. Deep-links to the correct service calendar based on what the scan found, so the client books what they actually need.

Lifecycle

Post-visit follow-up, rescan prompts at the care-calendar interval, and reactivation of clients who scanned and never came in. The record is the reason to make contact again.

TRIGGER · time_since_last_scan
Two things that ship with the workflows: ad-platform events fire on a completed scan rather than a page view, so delivery optimizes toward people who finish; and SMS and WhatsApp are built against the messaging rules of your market, with consent stored alongside the record and templates cleared before a campaign runs.
05 Economics

How the arithmetic tends to work.

An illustrative model, not a forecast. We do not know your traffic, your market or your closing rate — and any vendor who quotes a return before seeing those three things is selling you a number.

Read this honestly. Every rate above is an assumption you set, not a measurement we made. The model multiplies your numbers; it does not predict them. Revenue is gross, attributed to scanner-originated bookings, before product, labour and rent. Its only legitimate use is to show how wrong the assumptions would have to be before the system stops paying for itself.
THE POINT OF THE MODEL

At any plausible set of rates the cost is recovered by a handful of appointments, and what remains is a database of identified, condition-tagged prospects you own outright. On the demo call we rebuild this with your real traffic and your real closing rate — and if it does not clear the cost of the system, we say so on the call.

Next step

Run the model with your numbers.

Bring your traffic figures and your average ticket. We will build the funnel live on the call and show you the system running behind it.
